One Direction have sent their love and thoughts to an injured victim of a recent US school shooting.

17-year-old Claire Davis was shot in the head after a gunman entered the Arapahoe High School in Colorado last week.

She is a big One Direction fan but she remains in a coma after the incident.

The group have now sent her a video to wish her a speedy recovery from the horrifying ordeal, with Liam Payne saying:

"Hi Claire, we've heard you are a big fan and we just wanted to show you some love. What's happened to you is absolutely terrible and it's something we can't bare thinking about so we just wanted to share some love with you and all our prayers are with you and your family. Hope you get well soon, lots of love."

The incident saw 18-year-old gunman Karl Pierson ultimately kill himself after critically injuring Davis.
