Paloma Faith on BAFTAs performance: 'I died a little from nerves!'

Quirky songstress Paloma Faith performed at last night's (February 10) BAFTA Awards ceremony in London and admitted that it was an anxiety inducing experience.

She opened the famous event with a stunning rendition of her hit 'Never Tear us Apart' at London's Royal Opera House and at the after party she explained to presenter Rick Edwards that it was a stressful time for her because she was so nervous:

"I cast my eyes down and saw who was there and just died a little bit inside. Then my hands started shaking involuntarily and I was like ... now's not a good time, I told myself off and carried on."

She revealed that a well-known Hollywood actor praised her performance: "Samuel L. Jackson just came up to me afterwards and said, 'You did an amazing job!'"

Faith added that she wasn't drinking at the BAFTAs because she's currently on tour: "I'm actually on a middle of a tour so I've got to play Sheffield tomorrow and I want them to get the price of a ticket ... not Hungover Paloma."
