Robin Thicke's 'Blurred Lines' gets second university ban

Robin Thicke's hit track 'Blurred Lines' has been banned by another UK student union.

The song was originally blacklisted by the Edinburgh University Students' Association because it flouted its 'End Rape Culture and Lad Banter on Campus' campaign.

The University of Leeds student union has now also banned the tune from being played at their bars because it apparently "degrades" women. Alice Smart, an officer at the union, told the Independent:

"The reaction has been mainly positive. A few students are asking why, if we have banned this song, we aren't banning everything, but we've chosen this one as an example, because it's so popular."

The lyrics to 'Blurred Lines' has been accused of promoting rape culture, whilst its video has come under fire for objectifying women.
