Iron Maiden diverted from TokyoIron Maiden were en route to Tokyo on Friday when the 8.9 magnitude earthquake rocked Japan. Consequently, the rockers, who are on their Final Frontier World Tour, were forced to divert their private plane, dubbed ‘Ed Force One,’ to safety. “Ed Force One, heading to Tokyo for shows, was diverted to Nagoya and the band and crew are safe. Our thoughts are with everyone affected. Due to damages caused by the earthquake, unfortunately we have to cancel the Saturday, March 12 show at Saitama Super Arena as the venue must undergo safety assessment,” the band said in a statement.
