The TRUE GROOVE ALL-STARS featuring Touchy Feely and Marla Mase are going to be LIVE at the Parkside Lounge on Thursday June 27th, 2019 at 9:00 PM. The Parkside Lounge is located at 317 East Houston Street in New York City.

The elusive Touchy-Feely (AKA Mr. Feely) is often referred to as True Groove's "Secret Weapon". His unique garage funk concept has become a signature sound on many a True Groove remix and production. Known for his readily apparent melancholy and quirky appearance, few have ever been able to directly interface with Mr. Feely himself, instead dealing with his de facto agent True Groove head engineer/producer James Dellatacoma. Known for his love of Morris Day,Avril Lavigne, John Cage, Merzhow, and Tuvan throat singing, Mr. Feely does it all. He has recently released his debut E.P. “Title Huevo”, On True Groove Records.

Marla Mase is a writer/performer/producer/singer/songwriter from New York City. She pens songs, plays, monologues, short stories, erotica, blogs and poems. Known for her gutsy, sexy, raw performance style and smart, cutting lyrics, Marla is regarded by her peers and fans as a true musical pioneer. Her songs, a mix of punk, funk, spoken word and classic rock & roll are infused with "global soul," the signature sound of her Brooklyn-based label True Groove Records.

Along with triumphant tours in China, Europe and the United States, Marla received a ‘Messenger of Peace’ award from the Friends of the UN for her visionary work as a songwriter and performer. She was a featured performer at SXSW 2017 and can be found on DAYTROTTER. Her critically acclaimed multimedia performance concert SPEAK premiered at NYC Summerstage 2013, and set the bar for her next release Half-Life which was heralded as ‘The first great album of 2014″ by Rock NYC. The record featured legendary Ikonoklast producer/bassist Bill Laswell on “The Heart Beats.” It was Mase and Laswell's second collaboration—Laswell also provided a dubmix of "AnnaRexia" from Mase’s SPEAK DELUXE collection.

A long time creative force in groundbreaking NYC theatre as a writer performer and producer, Mase currently has two projects in the works: The Pill (a post-truth memoir about family and mental illness)which had its world premiere, a successful sold out run at La Mama ETC in 2018 , and a theatrical concert adaptation of her album Miracles~Lost & Found most recently performed (2019) at White Eagle Hall and the Nuyorican Poets Cafe.

Along with her partner/collaborator Tomás Doncker, Mase is co-founder of True Groove Records, one of NYC’s fastest rising record labels.
