Zayn Malik has launched his solo career with his debut single and a brand new steamy video featuring Gigi Hadid.

The singer today (January 29) unveiled his first post-One Direction piece of music 'Pillowtalk'.

The R&B flavoured tune is the first song to be taken from his upcoming maiden solo album, Mind of Mine, which will be released on March 25.

The accompanying video was released at the same time and it sees reported girlfriend Gigi Hadid appear. The pair are often seen kissing. One of the lines in the track, which is about sex, says: "In bed all day, f**king and fighting, I'm in paradise."

The video was directed by Bouha Kazmi, who has worked with Jay Z previously.

Malik signed a solo deal with RCA last year after quitting One Direction in the spring.
