Adam Lambert's 'Trespassing' tops the US iTunes album chart

Vocal sensation Adam Lambert's new album 'Trespassing' has been met with rave reviews over the past week and he now has another reason to celebrate.

His highly-anticipated sophomore record was released in America today (May 15) and has already topped the US iTunes album chart. Writing on his official Twitter page earlier this evening, Lambert thanked his 1.4 million followers for their unwavering support:

"Wow!! #Trespassing is sitting nice and high on the itunes chart! What a great sight to wake-up to! Thank you all for checking it out!! #1 on Itunes?! Yes!!!! #Trespassing"

His fans weren't the only ones to congratulate him on the exciting news as Sony Music Global also tweeted:

"A very happy site [sic] to see: @adamlambert #1 at @iTunesMusic US!"
