Adele's '21' usurps Pink Floyd in all-time top selling album list

Adele's '21' has moved above Pink Floyd's seminal 'The Dark Side Of The Moon' in the list of the all-time top selling albums in the UK.

The 'Someone Like You' singer had previously nudged past Michael Jackson's album 'Bad' on the esteemed list - but she has now moved up another spot.

The Official Charts Company say that '21' has now sold a mammoth 4,142,000 units in the country so far, meaning it lands at No.7 on the list.

It means she is only 12,000 copies away from Dire Straits' 'Brothers In Arms', which rests at No.6.

Topping the chart is Queen's 'Greatest Hits', which has sold a total of 5,864,000 copies so far.
