Tinie Tempah and JLS win big at MOBO’s

Tinie Tempah and JLS were the big winners at last night’s MOBO awards, walking away with two gongs each.

Tinie Tempah, who was nominated for four awards, won two awards for Best Newcomer and Best Video for ‘Frisky,’ with JLS taking away awards for Best UK Act and Best Album.

Hosted by Radio 1’s Reggie Yates and Alesha Dixon the show was held at the Echo Arena in Liverpool. This is only the second time in MOBO history that the show has ventured out of its native London.

Performances on the night came from winners JLS, who sang a surprise duet with Travie McCoy, N-Dubz, Mark Ronson, Jay Sean and a show stopping finale from Tinchy Stryder, Tinie Tempah, Giggs and Devlin.

  • Best UK Hip Hop / Grime Act - Professor Green
  •  Best International Act - Eminem

  •  Best Video in association with MTV Base - Tinie Tempah ft Labrinth - Frisky
  •  Best UK Act in association with Lebara Mobile - JLS
  • Best Song in association with PRSforMusic - NDubz FEAT. Mr Hudson ' Playing with Fire
  • Best African Act - K'Naan
  • Best Jazz Act - Empirical
  • Best Gospel Act - Guvna B
  • Lifetime Achievement - Billy Ocean
  • BeMOBO - Merseyside Dance Initiative
