The Hoff to Cowell: Come and get me

Former ‘Baywatch’ star David Hasselhoff is keen to relaunch his pop career, with a bit of help from X Factor impresario Simon Cowell.

The 58-year-old actor and singer said that he is waiting for Cowell to get in touch.

"I love Simon Cowell and he knows that I am just waiting for him to sign me up,” he said.

A confident sounding Hasselhoff added: “It will happen.”

Although his singing success in the US has been limited, Hasselhoff had a string of chart-topping albums Austria, Germany and Switzerland in the late 1980s and early 1990s, and is seen as something of a cult icon in the UK.
