Depsite the rumours, Kanye West will not be performing at this year’s Coachella.

The popular festival kicked off yesterday on April 14 and ends tomorrow on April 16. It continues between April 21-23 in Indio, California.

Radiohead, Kendrick Lamar and Lady Gaga are all headlining. Gaga replaces Beyoncé, who fell pregnant, so had to pull out.

With West’s collaborators, Schoolboy Q and Travis Scott both playing Coachella, rumours were circulating like wildfire that the rapper might join them live, but TMZ reports that a surprise appearance by West has been denied.

The rapper’s seventh album made music history in the US by becoming the first album to reach No. 1 in the charts primarily through streaming, two months after its initial release.

The hitmaker also set an incredible new record in the UK earlier this year when his album 'The Life of Pablo' was certified Silver.
