Lady Gaga has made PoliticsDaily’s Top 5 Celebrity Activists list.

The superstar first appeared at Washington's National Equality March in 2009, then campaigned in September this year for “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell”, encouraging her fans to get involved by calling elected officials and asking them to repeal the law. 

She also blasted Arizona’s immigration law and took on the anti-gay Westboro Baptist Church when the hate group protested her St. Louis concert. Her solution was simply to embrace them with love and peace.

Gaga has more followers and fans across social media platforms than any politician, including President Barack Obama.
