Cheeky Girl's shoplifting caution

Gabriela Irimia, one of the Cheeky Girls, was cautioned by police after stealing from Sainsburys supermarket in Wilmslow yesterday (January 7).

Together with her twin sister Monica she had four top ten hits including 'Cheeky Song (Touch My Bum)' which sold over 1.2 million copies worldwide.

A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: "At just before 2pm on Friday, January 7, Cheshire Police were called to a supermarket on Alderley Road, Wilmslow after a 26-year-old woman from Essex was detained on suspicion of theft of grocery items.

The 26-year-old was once engaged to ex-Liberal Democrat MP Lembit Opik.
