Selena Gomez's Rare is among the Top Ten biggest US debuts of 2020.

Rare was released earlier this year on January 10, and started with 112,000 equivalent album units earned in the US in the week ending January 16, according to Nielsen Music. 

The record went on to earn the superstar her third No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart and her sixth top 10 album on the Billboard 200 in total - the entirety of her studio efforts as a solo artist, and with former backing band, The Scene.

The first single off Gomez's chart-topping album, Rare, “Lose You To Love Me,” marked a historic moment for her as it also landed the star her first No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. In addition, the song became her fastest song ever to be certified Platinum. She co-wrote the global hit with Julia Michaels, Justin Tranter and Mattias Larsson.
