Sia Set to Release First Solo Pop Album in Eight Years

Sia has shared her hypnotic new single titled "Gimme love". The anthemic song will appear on the singer's upcoming album Reasonable Woman, her first full-length project in eight years, which is set for release in spring 2024 via Atlantic Records. Pre-order the LP here.

The record is the follow-up to 2016's This Is Acting, her seventh studio album mostly composed of songs written for other artists that were not included on their albums. In 2017, Sia also released an album of holiday originals called Everyday Is Christmas; and the soundtrack for her controversial 2021 directorial debut, Music, which she directed and co-wrote.

An exact release date for Reasonable Woman is still tbd but it's expected to drop in May 2024. A special tangerine-colored vinyl limited to 500 pieces will also be released.

In May of this year, the Grammy-nominated star revealed that she was diagnosed with autism. She told the hosts of Rob Has A Podcast that she is "on the spectrum, and I'm in recovery and whatever. There's a lot of things.

"For 45 years, I was like... 'I've got to go put my human suit on.' And only in the last two years have I become fully, fully myself.

"Nobody can ever know and love you when you're filled with secrets and… living in shame, and when we finally sit in a room full of strangers and tell them our deepest, darkest, most shameful secrets, and everybody laughs along with us, and we don't feel like pieces of trash for the first time in our lives, and we feel seen for the first time in our lives for who we actually are, and then we can start going out into the world and just operating as humans and human beings with hearts and not pretending to be anything."

Sia did not disclose exactly when she was diagnosed with the developmental condition which can cause an array of difficulties, including extreme anxiety.
