X Factor winner, James Arthur, is number one in the UK's Official Singles Chart this week (December 16).

James Arthur visited BBC Radio One's Clipstone Street studio to listen to this week's Top 40 singles countdown. He said he was very nervous to actually hear his name being mentioned at the number one, as he's listened to the show for many years.

DJ, Reggie Yates announced 'Impossible' as the new number one and asked Arthur questions that were tweeted to the singer by listeners.

When asked which questions this week were beginning to get tiresome, Arthur said that usual "How does it feel to win the show?" question was now becoming repetitive.

He answered that the best thing about the show was working with Nicole Scherzinger, and making friends with the others:

"Nicole is an eccentric in the best possible way .... when she does drink and when I have tried her drink it's straight up bourbon."

He also said he'd love to play the Reading Festival next year, and that Scherzinger has told him that if he ever needs any contacts to "hit her up" and that they talk daily.

He confirmed that the papers are wrong, that he is not a ladies' man and is just "an affectionate person".
