Arctic Monkeys have secured their No.1 position in the UK albums chart today, June 12, with their new record 'Suck It And See'. 

Following its release on Monday, the group's new offering took the lead and was already at the top spot when the midweek update was announced on June 8. It held off strong competition from Adele's '21', which is a non-mover at 2, and Lady Gaga's 'Born This Way', which sits just behind at 3. 

'Glee The Music Vol. 6' entered at No. 6, Wonderland's self-titled debut album has been confirmed at 8 and British singer-songwriter Frank Turner slipped from his midweek position of 8 and has charted at 12 with 'England Keep My Bones'.
