Produced by Dux Jones and Jason Bruyninga, the bouncy track interpolates “Be About Yo Paper” by The Click, the West Coast collective founded by legendary emcee E-40. “2 Freaks” serves as lead track off Sada Baby’s upcoming project Skuba Sada 2.5, the reloaded version of his chart-topping opus Skuba Sada 2, out June 10th. The two-disc reissue boasts five new tracks including “Blickelodeon,” “Shred Buddy,” “Skuba Skooly” featuring Atlanta breakout Skooly and “Leave Em There” with rising Florida rapper 94fatso. The project includes his Gold-selling smash “Whole Lotta Choppas (Remix)” with Nicki Minaj and standouts “Black Harlow,” “Pressin” featuring King Von, “Aktivated” and “Slide.” Additional guest appearances and production from Big Sean, Hit-Boy, Helluva, RJ Lamont and more. Skuba Sada 2 debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Heatseekers Albums chart in 2020.

About

Putting on for Detroit is a responsibility that 29-year-old rapper Sada Baby doesn't take lightly, wisely choosing to stay true to both his unfaltering individuality and the city that made him. Born Casada Sorrell, the Michigan native first discovered a penchant for experimenting with wordplay through freestyle for hours at a time, an aspect of his craft he now reserves for rare occasions.

As a teenager growing up in the mid-2000s, Sada Baby gravitated towards the taste-making output from the Cash Money roster and other influential Atlanta acts, as well found himself enamored by the dynamic, all-encompassing local scene in Detroit. With a push of encouragement, both from his cousin Ashley Sorrell and from winning a local rap competition he entered on a whim, Sada Baby began building a name for himself as a versatile artist who can switch up his flows as effortlessly as he can weave in obscure cultural references.

In 2016, he began cutting his teeth as a featured artist with his first noteworthy collaboration—a guest appearance on Danny Mellz's "Megaman X"—laying the groundwork for what would swiftly evolve into an expansive resume. In 2017, he released two mixtapes, Skuba Steve and D.O.N.: Dat One N***a, both of which showcase his eclectic style and increasingly renowned charisma. Sada joined fellow Detroit upstart Tee Grizzley on his Ain't It A Blessing tour in the fall of 2017, an opportunity that helped him grow his social media presence and realize his destined calling to give high-energy, dance-heavy performances.

In 2018, his Drego-assisted "Bloxk Party" emerged as a breakout single, with the accompanying visual garnering 24M+ views and counting. Soon thereafter, Sada Baby inked a deal with iconic label Asylum Records. He went on to receive a monumental co-sign from E-40, who later featured him on the 2018 Gift of Gab cut "The Pack Attack,” as well as collaborate with Philthy Rich (“Robin Hood”).

2019 marked the release of his critically acclaimed mixtape Bartier Bounty, which landed on Billboard’s Best Albums of 2019 List. Pitchfork rated the project an 8.0 stating “Sada Baby is already an all-time-great shit talker, a charming scoundrel who makes the most debased jeers seem delightful,” while Stereogum proclaimed the charismatic emcee created “2019’s first great rap album” with “wild, unstable, joyous fuckit-up energy.” UPROXX dubbed Bartier Bounty a “a low-risk, high-reward proposition and one that positions him as a talent you should definitely keep an eye on.” Sada culminated his prolific year with a headlining set at Rolling Loud’s Bay Area edition, securing a rightful spot amongst Hip Hop’s elite.

In 2020, the meteoric rise of Sada Baby continued with the unveiling of two projects; Skuba Sada 2 and Bartier Bounty 2. Both mixtapes debuted Top 5 on Billboard’s Heatseekers Albums chart, with Skuba Sada 2 claiming the No. 1 spot upon release. His viral sensation “Whole Lotta Choppas” amassed over 40 million streams and earned Sada his first RIAA Gold certification, boosted by a blockbuster remix featuring Nicki Minaj. Bartier Bounty 3 was released in early 2022.
