Beyoncé Super Bowl performance confirmed

It has been confirmed that Beyoncé will sing at next year's Super Bowl.

As previously reported, the vocal superstar hinted at the news yesterday (October 16) after she uploaded a photo of herself with the date of the American Football event on her cheeks.

The massive game is due to take place on February 3 next year in New Orleans and the event's Twitter has now confirmed that Beyoncé will be performing during its half-time interval.

They also posted the photo, adding confirmation of her slot. It said:

"Beyoncé will perform @pepsi #SB47 Halftime Show in New Orleans. Feb. 3 2013 on @cbs."

Beyoncé performed at the 2004 Super Bowl but only to sing the national anthem, with Madonna and The Black Eyed Peas playing the coveted half-time slot in 2012 and 2011 respectively.
