Beyoncé: "I'm more powerful than my mind can even digest"

Beyoncé has acknowledged that she is one of the biggest stars in music.

The singer went solo from group Destiny's Child in 2002 and she has seen her career hit massive heights, becoming one of the top female stars around.

Speaking to the US GQ - who have called her the hottest woman of the 21st Century - Beyoncé revealed that she got used to having control over her music and affairs after being in Destiny's Child.

The '4' star added that she hopes to be an "example" of someone who is both successful and in control of their business. She said:

"You know, when I was writing the Destiny's Child songs, it was a big thing to be that young and taking control. And the label at the time didn't know that we were going to be that successful, so they gave us all control. And I got used to it. It is my goal in life to be that example. And I think it will, hopefully, trickle down, and more artists will see that. Because it only makes sense. It's only fair."

The vocal star added: "I now know that, yes, I am powerful. I'm more powerful than my mind can even digest and understand."

Beyoncé appears in a number of revealing photos in the magazine, showing off her curvy figure.
