LUKE TITUS DROPS NEW TRACK FT. RAVYN LENAEPhoto Credit: Sam KfareOFFICIAL PRESS RELEASENEWS PROVIDED BY Biz 3 Publicity Chicago multi-instrumentalist/producer/vocalist Luke Titus has dropped a new track "Today" ft. Ravyn Lenae from his forthcoming debut LP PLASMA out November 13th via Sooper Records. Luke is a longtime collaborator of Lenae's including work as her touring drummer and music director. On their collaborative relationship and the track, Lenae explains: "I love working with Luke because he can mold his production style to cater to who he is working with while still pushing them. He is also one of the most hardworking/dedicated musicians I know. I vividly remember writing and recording this song because I had just bought a new mic and was excited to try it out. The lyrics really reflect my overall attitude on life that day." The track is also unique because it's the only one on PLASMA that wasn't produced in full by Titus. "Today" was produced by UK based producer Melo-Zed. About the collaboration, Titus recalls: "Melo-Zed and I met in London at a Noname show where we were introduced by a mutual friend. We connected right away and sent each other some music we had been working on. I was still on tour in Europe when he sent me the original beat for "Today" but I was instantly inspired to write to it. I was captivated as soon as I heard it and I believe I wrote the whole song on our next off day. It quickly became one of my favorite songs on the project, and my first collab with another producer like this." Highly regarded in the Chicago music scene for his work on Noname's Room 25, PLASMA finds the 23-year-old fully in stride for his supremely weird and innovative project. Utilizing hip-hop, Jazz, R&B, and Pop, Titus possesses an astounding level of technical mastery and creativity. Folding in psychedelia, experimental glitchiness, and big, luscious pop hooks with gloriously expressive vocal performances, PLASMA serves as one of the most imaginative debuts to come out of Chicago this year.
