Multi-million selling boyband JLS have signed a record deal with BMG for their first new music in eight years ahead of a 28-date arena tour of the UK and Ireland.

The multi-BRIT and MOBO Award-winning boy band scored five UK Number One singles with ‘Beat Again’, ‘Everybody In Love’, ‘The Club Is Alive’, ‘Love You More’ and ‘She Makes Me Wanna’. They have also sold over six million records and four multi-platinum albums and their self-titled debut went straight to Number One and has since sold over a million copies in the UK.

The band said, “After 8 years it feels great to sign a new record deal with BMG. For us, music is the core of everything we do and we are so excited to bring new music to the world again.” As part of their new record deal, JLS will work to modernize their familiar R&B pop sound leaning on new musical influences, whilst ensuring that the essence and DNA of their music and style remains present.

Jamie Nelson, BMG Vice President A&R UK, said “We’re excited for the return of JLS. They have enjoyed a stellar career and we are delighted to be part of their next step. The music is already sounding great, they return fully on top of their game.”

News of the reunion brought headlines in the UK with Britain’s biggest-selling newspaper The Sun splashing it over two pages.
