Calvin Harris slams BBC's Newsbeat for unfairly editing interview: 'They wanted a bad guy in their report'

Scottish DJ and producer Calvin Harris has taken to his official Twitter page to defend himself from a badly edited interview which he claims made him look like "a bad guy".

The 'Feel So Close' star recently sat down for a chat with BBC Newsbeat's Greg Cochrane and discussed the rather controversial topic of DJs using pre-recorded material in their live sets and merely 'pressing play' on pre-mixed segments.

Following the release of the interview, which appears to show Harris saying that it's acceptable to do this, he posted a series of messages to his Twitter page which slammed the BBC for twisting his answers to fit what they effectively wanted to write:

"Find the audio where i say "it's ok to prerecord a DJ set" it doesn't f**king exist, and i don't know ANY DJ that actually does that. F**king raging with this Newsbeat guy. I remember the interview and his stupid f**king question is it ok for DJs to play records, then he'll change his question in the edit to is it ok to PRERECORD a DJ set and use my answer to a DIFFERENT QUESTION?!"

Harris continued, making his stance on the question very clear: "I remember this guy from @BBCNewsbeat who did the interview, he actually apologised beforehand for not being prepared + knew nothing. Then he'll make ME look bad because HE'S sh*te, and play it on the biggest national radio station in the UK?! Right ok @BBCNewsbeat."

"Release the audio @BBCNewsbeat and we will see exactly what was said, instead to stitching me up because u needed a bad guy in your "report"."

After he was met with a flood of responses from other users on the social networking site, he added: "No i won't f**king calm down! When i've got sh*tloads of messages slating me for something i didn't say."
