Sir Elton John has revealed his new child to the world.

As previously reported, the veteran singer and partner David Furnish recently became fathers for the first time after a surrogate mother gave birth to Elijah Joseph Daniel Furnish-John.

Elijah follows two-year-old Zachary, who was the first addition to the clan.

The couple have since indulged in a Hello! photoshoot with the new baby as the family looks on with pride.

Speaking about their surrogate mother - who gave birth to both children - Elton John said:

"She is a wonderful, kind and loving woman, who we love like a sister. We have a very close bond with her and were in constant touch throughout the pregnancy, getting updates, seeing scans and sharing all the little details that make those nine months so exciting."

He added: "She has given us two amazing gifts and we in turn have a duty of care to her and are fiercely protective of her anonymity."
