Enrique Iglesias has explained the thinking behind the name of his new album.

The singer unleashed his new record 'Sex & Love' in the UK on Monday (March 17), but some people have raised eyebrows at its title.

However, Iglesias told Billboard that the name merely tells of something that is universal between people of all backgrounds.

He said: "That was the first title that came to my head. There were times when I questioned myself. Is it too direct? Is it too simple? Should I try to be a little more clever?"

Iglesias concluded: "But it's the two things that, no matter what language, religion or culture, join us all together. Sex and love are the two things that we can all relate to."
