Exploding onto the UK Alternative Scene is Nottingham based outfit Blight Town who are extremely happy to announce their upcoming EP ‘It Lives…’. The band will be releasing the EP on Friday 18th November and it will include their recent single ‘Swerve’, brand-new blistering offering ‘Al Gore Rhythm’ and two more unreleased tracks that cleverly combined elements of progressive post-hardcore, math-rock and pop.

Alongside the announcement of the anticipated EP Blight Town have shared new single ‘Al Gore Rhythm’. An entirely different beast to its predecessor, ‘Al Gore Rhythm’ is a frantic and intense piece that squeezes an extremely diverse set of dynamics and progressions into a running time of less than two-minutes and thirty seconds.

"Al Gore Rhythm was one of the easiest and most natural songwriting processes we've ever had. From Jake and Sam’s living room to Joe's flat to be fleshed out, then into the practice room, we knew instantly that this one was going to be fun to play live. “We really leant into the progressive aspect of our sound on this one, to the point that we managed to cram a ton of contrasting feelings and dynamics into an incredibly small run time.” “Lyrically, Al Gore Rhythm is a love song to yourself. It's about finding positivity in yourself at a time when that seemed impossible and the catharsis that comes with truly loving and accepting who you are as a person for the first time in your life.” – Vocalist, Jake Hough.
