Jessie J says Robin Thicke duet is a 'throwback to disco and soul'

Jessie J has offered some more details about her new collaboration with Robin Thicke.

The British singer and the 'Blurred Lines' man recently teamed up to record a track for DJ Cassidy's forthcoming new album.

Speaking to the Metro, the former Voice UK coach has revealed that it echoes 80s disco and soul, saying:

"The duet is like a throwback disco soul 80s vibe – we’re shooting the video for it [now]. I met him once before briefly at an airport but I haven’t seen him since we did the song. I just can’t say how much this guy works so hard. We’re starting the shoot after he finishes his iTunes Festival gig."

Lavishing praise on the suave star, Jessie J added: "I think Robin Thicke is an amazing artist, an underrated singer for a long time. It is his time to shine."

Thicke meanwhile performed at the iTunes Festival in London last night (September 24).
