JLS singer Marvin Humes to offer college scholarship

Marvin Humes, singer with UK boyband JLS, has announced that he will be awarding one lucky student with a great scholarship to his former college, the D&B School of Performing Arts in Bromley.

Speaking to MTV News about the project, the heartthrob explained that he's looking for a youngster with "the spark and ambition" to excel at the institution because his experience of the school was "priceless": "I've no doubt we're going to find someone whose life will change forever because the opportunity is so incredible."

He also revealed that he will be offering advice to people enrolled on the college's musical theatre course, adding: "You always want to walk into a situation and be 150% ready, so if you're chucked with anything from singing, dancing or acting, you're able to do it with confidence"

"To be prepared for anything that gets thrown your way."

Meanwhile, Humes took to the band's Twitter page this morning (March 15) and thanked his fans for listening to his 'workout mixtape': "Wow! Over 3000 listens already of my workout mixtape! That's amazing! http://www.mixcloud.com/MarvinHumes thanks guys! Mx"
