Kanye West's representative has denied that he posted a naked photo of reported love interest Kim Kardashian on Twitter.

The rapper is said to have posted a photo online of a naked woman eating fruit, with notable similarities to Kardashian.

However, the tweet was later removed as gossip grew online over the image. A rep meanwhile for West has now told Us Weekly that the whole story is "totally false". They said:

"In regards to this 'story' that Kanye posted and then took down intimate pictures on his Twitter account: TOTALLY FALSE. Laughably so. This phantom tweet never occurred on his account."

They continued: "This is obviously the desperate, sad act of someone seeking to gain media exposure by exploiting Kanye's notoriety. Kanye doesn't even know this person, has never seen this picture, and hasn't been on his Twitter account for a day."
