Katy Perry has admitted that she once asked God to give her large breasts.

The singer is well noted for her cleavage and she has graced the cover of GQ showing off her assets in all their glory (see below).

However, the US icon told the magazine that when she was younger, she reached out to God in an effort to boost her body.

Perry said: "I lay on my back one night and looked down at my feet, and I prayed to God. I said, ‘God, will you please let me have boobs so big that I can’t see my feet when I’m lying down?'."

She added: "I had no clue they would fall into my armpits eventually."

The 'Prism' star meanwhile confirmed that she has had no cosmetic surgery, saying:

"I’ve never had any plastic surgery. Not a nose, not a chin, not a cheek, not a tit. So my messages of self-empowerment are truly coming from an au naturel product."
