Katy Perry asks for wedding privacy

As Katy Perry and fiancé Russell Brand head to India for their upcoming nuptials, the singer has requested privacy from the media.

The singer dispelled rumours that the pair were already married after speculation swirled around Brand hitting London on Tuesday (October 19) wearing a wedding ring.  Friends insist that the gold band is simply a regular piece of Brand’s wardrobe.

The planned ceremony is happening in Jaipur, India on Saturday (October 23) and the couple have been pictured arriving at Heathrow Airport to fly out of London. Hours later, Perry took to Twitter to beg her fans for respect, privacy and to not believe the rumours.

Via Twitter, Perry said: “I have something to say. Twit Break: Greatest gift u can give us is respect & [love] during this private [time]. No use wasting ur [time] with stolen or false info. Thnku for this”
