Katy Perry says she hates "fake Hollywood" because it's "gross"

Hitmaker Katy Perry was in London last night (July 3) to promote her debut concert movie and explained that she kept unflattering scenes in the final cut because she wanted it to be realistic.

Speaking to Capital FM, the 'Wide Awake' beauty revealed that it was her decision to appear fresh-faced and without her stage make up in the film to show how her life truly is:

"I'm glad that it's honest and revealing in the right way. Hopefully people will walk away from the movie being like 'yeh, I don't have to fit in in order to achieve my dreams."

"I thought it was important to leave those shots where I'm exhausted looking and without this [make-up] full beat because I mean I don't always look like this of course and that's not reality and I don't like to be a part of fake Hollywood – I think that's gross."

Before the London premiere of 'Part Of Me 3D', Perry tweeted a photograph of herself wearing a set of false Union Jack coloured eyelashes for the occasion (pictured above left).
