Katy Perry's 'Part Of Me' film pulled in $10m on opening weekend

Songstress Katy Perry's debut concert film, 'Part Of Me 3D', had a fantastic opening weekend and took around $10 million in ticket sales.

Paramount estimated that the tell-all movie grossed an estimated $10.2 million over 4 days on 2,730 screens around the USA, although it wasn't as successful as the release of 'Justin Bieber: Never Say Never', which raked in a staggering $29.5 million in the first few days of hitting theatres.

Billboard.com reports that 'Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds' is the biggest opener in the genre of concert films to date, as it grossed $31 million on just 683 screens.

Earlier this evening (July 9), the 'Teenage Dream' beauty promised her fans that she would retweet the most entertaining fan experiences from screenings of her film around the world, and has now started to publish her favourites:

"I wish! RT @laurasambrook: @katyperry another fav from ‪#KP3D‬ 'I GOT AN ASS LIKE NICKI MINAJ IN THIS' hah best of humour, made me laugh!"
