Sky 3D to air Kylie's Aphrodite Les Folies tour

Pop sensation Kylie Minogue recently announced that the final two UK live dates of her Aphrodite Les Folies tour would be filmed in 3D and details of the footage and project have now been released.

Blink Films recorded her exciting stage show using state of the art technology and Sky has announced that it will premiere her concert on its 3D service, Sky 3D, on June 19. Sky1 will also screen the same footage, but in 2D, on the same night.

John Cassy, channel director of Sky 3D, said of the news:

"Fans of Kylie are in for a treat – it will feel as if the concert is taking place in their living rooms,”

The 'All The Lovers' star also expressed her excitement at being broadcast in 3D, and said:

"So I'm excited we have been able to use the power of 3D TV to give audiences at home the chance to get a front row experience."

In addition to screening this exclusive live performance of Kylie's, Sky 3D will also be airing Bestival and the Isle Of Wight Festival live this year. Watch a behind the scenes video from her tour's UK run here:
