Lady Gaga believes her upcoming world tour will be an "epic party".

The singer is due to embark on her artRave: The ARTPOP Ball tour from early May as she travels the globe in support of her 2013 album 'ARTPOP'.

It looks set to be a raucous affair and Gaga took to Twitter to hype up the live run.

She said: "I'm so excited for my new tour I can hardly wait, oh my goodness GET READY MONSTERS ITS GOING TO BE AN EPIC PARTY."

The US icon recently unveiled stage plans for the tour and it saw a regular stage with long elevated runways, with the audience stood below them.

The first date on the tour is scheduled to take place in Florida on May 4.
