Lady Gaga: 'I have had really awful experiences with men in the studio'

Lady Gaga has admitted that she has experienced misogynistic behaviour from men in the music industry.

The singer is one of the biggest female names in the music scene, but she told The Times that men have tried to 'take advantage' of her physically in the past.

When asked if she has experienced sexism in the industry, Gaga said:

"I experienced a lot...I had really awful experiences with men in the studio. Made me very uncomfortable. I didn’t feel like I was being cherished for my vocal talents, but [was] seen more as someone to take advantage of."

The US star was then asked if men have tried to physically 'take advantage' of her, with the 'Applause' singer saying:

"Yes. And I don’t have to elaborate. But I promise you that when women who are in the business that are young read this article, I hope [they understand] that you do not have to put up with that."
