Lady Gaga settles assistant overtime legal battle

Lady Gaga has settled out of court a legal wrangle involving a former assistant who was claiming unpaid overtime.

The singer has been locked in a case for a number of months with ex-personal assistant Jennifer O'Neill, who believes she was cheated out of overtime wages in early 2009 and for 13 months from February 2010.

A trial was scheduled for November 4, but the battle has now been settled out of court.

O'Neill previously testified in court that was effectively on call for 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The former employee even said that she often slept in the same bed as Gaga when on tour so that she could attend to the singer's needs.

The US star meanwhile is gearing up for the release of her new album 'ARTPOP' on November 11.

She has just unleashed the R.Kelly duet 'Do What You Want' as buzz increases ahead of the record's full unveiling.
