Lady Gaga has confirmed plans to tour next year.

The singer recently released her latest effort 'ARTPOP' and she looks set to hit the road in 2014 in promotion of the No.1 record.

The 'Applause' star revealed the news in a Twitter Q&A with fans held last night (November 17). When asked by a devotee when she will tour her new record, Gaga said:

"Next year! Announcing soon!

Responding to a question referring to exactly when her tour would be confirmed, the singer then responded:

"In due time! Later but not today? I wanna tell you but it's a surprise?"

Speaking meanwhile about the inspiration behind 'ARTPOP', Gaga later said:

"Spent 2 years making music that gave me joy and happy energy when I was sad. A celebration of being myself since the fame."

As previously reported, Gaga's 'ARTPOP' hit No.1 in the UK albums chart on Sunday (November 17).
