Leona Lewis has quashed rumours that she is seeing One Direction singer Liam Payne.

Speculation over the pair began almost instantly after news broke that the boyband star had split up with his girlfriend Danielle Peazer.

The breakup had been reported in the tabloid press last week but Payne confirmed the news in an interview published on Tuesday (October 2).

He also said in the interview that he had gone out for a drink with Leona Lewis but added that nothing else happened.

Speaking to the Metro, Lewis - who recently split up with boyfriend Dennis Jauch - confirmed that she is still "single".
