Pop superstars McFly have today announced that they will be hitting the road once again in Spring next year for their ‘Best of McFly Tour’. They will be playing 18 shows across the UK in April and May, beginning in Swindon on Friday 19th April and ending at London’s Wembley Arena on Saturday 18th May. McFly tickets go on general sale at 9am on Saturday 8th December 2012 from www.ticketmaster.co.uk or www.livenation.co.uk 

McFly are undoubtedly one of the most significant pop groups of the past decade. During this time, their 5 studio albums have racked up cumulative sales of over 10 million, seven UK No.1 singles, five top 10 albums and numerous sell out tours. 2011 also saw a double reality win as McFly took over UK TV screens with Harry winning ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ and Dougie ‘I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here’. 

And it doesn’t stop there. With over 3 million Twitter followers collectively, the band solidified their online presence when they launched their unique and unrivalled ‘Super City’ website in 2010. The site offers unprecedented access to the band worldwide, uniting their fan base which stretches from the Far East to Australia to Brazil and South America. 

The ‘Best of McFly Tour’ will be in support of their latest release ‘Memory Lane’. Released on Monday 26th November via Island Records, ‘Memory Lane’ is a collection of McFly’s greatest hits from their early smashes ‘Five Colours In Her Hair’ , ‘Obviously’ and Chris Moyle’s favourite ‘Star Girl’, to chart hits such as ‘All About You’, ‘One For The Radio’ ‘and Party Girl’, alongside the band’s recent and biggest selling single ‘Shine A Light’ Feat. Taio Cruz. The album also features two special demo versions of ‘That Girl’ and ‘Obviously’ both of which were the first tracks the band recorded together and are been previously unreleased. 

Earlier this year McFly completed a massive 26 date sell-out UK tour, their biggest yet. In September they performed two shows at New York’s  Gramercy Theatre and LA’s ROXY, both of which sold out in minutes.
