Cee Lo Green says he is a "fan of clean living" as he denies giving woman drugs

Cee Lo Green has stated that he is a supporter of "good, clean living" after he appeared on court accused of slipping ecstasy into a woman's drink.

The 'Forget You' star allegedly put the drug into the lady's drink at a sushi restaurant in Los Angeles in July 2012 whilst on a date.

Green appeared on court on Monday (February 3) to deny the charge, which could come with a prison sentence of up to four years if a guilty verdict is recorded.

A rape charge was previously dropped due to insufficient evidence.

As he left the Los Angeles Superior Court on Monday, Green told reporters: "I'm a fan of good, clean living."

A preliminary hearing date for the case will be set in March.
