Nick Grimshaw joined by famous friends as he attempts 12-hour charity cycle

Nick Grimshaw received some morale boosting support from some famous friends as he attempts to cycle for 12 hours.

The BBC Radio 1 DJ is today (March 17) pedalling for half a day straight on an exercise bike in London in aid of Sport Relief.

He is attempting the feat inside a perspex box and a number of music stars came by to show their support.

The likes of Professor Green, McBusted and Wretch 32 were all on hand to give encouragement and take to bikes themselves.

Grimshaw started the cycle at 7am and is due to end at 7pm.

Little Mix meanwhile have recorded this year's Sport Relief single, which is a cover of Cameo's 'Word Up'.
