Atomic Kitten working on new material

Atomic Kitten have confirmed that they have recorded new music.

The pop group reunited in 2012 for ITV's Big Reunion series after splitting in 2004.

Their last single came in the shape of 2005's 'Cradle' and Liz McClarnon told Digital Spy that they have been working on new tunes.

However, schedules and the worry of not launching with the right song have stopped things in its tracks.

She said: "We have [been recording new music] but we all got busy, so it's been put on the back burner. We also haven't quite found the right song. We want to be modern and stuff, [but] we don't want to lose that Atomic Kitten thing. You never know what might happen, we might get an amazing song and get the bug, and say, 'OK, we're back, forever!'."

Atomic Kitten meanwhile will join the likes of All Saints and East 17 on the Another Time, Another Place UK arena tour later this year.

A number of nostalgic acts, including Big Brovaz and Let Loose, will play a total of eight shows in November.
