Oasis guitarist Bonehead says Liam Gallagher tweets may have been about the pub

Oasis guitarist Bonehead believes Liam Gallagher's cryptic tweets about Oasis may have been spurred by a trip to the pub.

The singer confused fans last night (April 24) by tweeting the name 'OASIS' as well as 'OASIS LG'.

This sparked rumours of a reunion for the band, who split in 2009 after a fall out between brothers Liam and Noel before a gig in France.

However, Bonehead told NME that the tweets may have just been about the singer meeting up with him in the pub.

Speaking about what the tweets may have meant, he said: "Probably the fact that I texted him going, ‘Meet me in the beer garden’. That probably rattled his cage. Maybe that. I don’t know though, because I meet him every f*cking month. Maybe he’s just reminiscing."

The guitarist himself later tweeted the letters 'P', 'U' and 'B' before adding a picture of a pint of lager and the words 'E', 'R', 'T' and 'Y'.

Bookmaker Ladbrokes meanwhile have stopped taking bets on Oasis playing Glastonbury after Gallagher's tweets.
