Michael Jackson's posthumous album debuts at No.1 in the UK

'Xscape' by the late Michael Jackson has been named this week's No.1 in the midweek albums chart update this afternoon (May 14).

This is the King of Pop's second posthumous release and it is set to chart at the top on Sunday when the positions are confirmed as it has already shifted 25,000 copies, and it would give Jackson his tenth UK No.1 album.

American rock duo The Black Keys have made an impressive appearance at No.2 today with their new record, 'Turn Blue', 'Youth' songstress Foxes has debuted at 3 with her first album 'Glorious', and Paloma Faith’s 'A Perfect Contradiction' is a non-mover at No.4.

Elsewhere on the UK Top 40 is Bruce Springsteen with 'The Spirit Of Radio' (No.40), The Black Keys' 2011 release 'El Camino' has returned to the chart at No.13, and Canadian electrofunk duo Chromeo is at No.28 with 'White Woman'.
