Miranda Lambert on Carrie Underwood duet: 'I was so nervous and sent her a rambling email'

Country beauty Miranda Lambert has opened up about getting songstress Carrie Underwood to collaborate with her on her new album and revealed that asking her made her incredibly anxious.

The pair sing together on 'Somethin' Bad', which is on Lambert's brand new album 'Platinum', and she admitted to Us Weekly that reaching out to Underwood to ask for the collaboration made her really nervous:

"I sent her a rambling email asking her to do it. I figured she'd think I was crazy, but she wrote right back saying she was in."

She added: "I was so nervous the day she came to the studio. We ended up having a blast."

Lambert was also asked why she chose to address her weight in the song 'Gravity Is A Bitch' and confessed that now she has hit 30 she's more conscious of trying to keep her figure in the best condition possible:

"My fans expect me to lay it all out! I've always been happy with myself. But when I hit 30, I thought, It's not going to get easier. So I chose to get ahead of it. There's still nothing I love more than a bag of Cheetos, though!"
