Kasabian refute lad-rock label: "What does that mean?"

Kasabian guitarist and songwriter Serge Pizzorno has been discussing his band’s sound and career trajectory.

Whilst speaking to Digital Spy, Serge took the opportunity to distance Kasabian from the “lad-rock” label they picked up in their early days.

The ‘eez-eh’ musician said of “lad-rock”: “What does that mean? If we were lad rock then we wouldn't be ten years in, we wouldn't have made the records we've made and we certainly wouldn't be headlining Glastonbury”.

Another aspect of Kasabian that Serge believes sets them apart is their attitude.

He explained: “We've never given a f**k and we're real, and that's all you can be, right? Whether you like us or not, you can't argue with someone who doesn't give a f**k”.

Kasabian’s new album ‘48:13’ will be released on Monday (June 9).
