One Direction's Louis Tomlinson takes part in charity football match

One Direction star Louis Tomlinson has taken part in his latest charity football game.

The singer lined up for Rio Ferdinand’s All-Stars side in the Maestrio match at Celtic Park in Glasgow on Sunday (September 7).

A number of ex-players and celebrities - such as Paul Scholes and Rizzle Kicks' Jordan Stephens - hit the pitch and Ferdinand's team, which included Tomlinson, lost 3-2 on the day.

The singer meanwhile revealed before the match that he is still feeling the effects of another charity game last year in Glasgow.

Tomlinson was tackled heavily, subbed off then threw up on the side of the pitch.

He said: "It turned out it actually damaged my medial ligament and it's not had time to properly heal."
