Miley Cyrus fan dresses as venue cleaner to sneak backstage: 'I saw her and just froze'

A fan of pop sensation Miley Cyrus recently flagged a big security flaw on her Bangerz tour in Australia after dressing up as a cleaner at the venue and gaining easy access to the backstage and dressing room areas.

Anthony Skinner noticed that a cleaner's cupboard was left open at the All Phones Arena in Sydney just before the weekend (October 17) at Cyrus's concert so grabbed the opportunity to try and meet the superstar, which turned out to be a success.

Speaking to the BBC about his experience at the show, Skinner explained that it was simple to gain access to Cyrus although he was a little starstruck so didn't make the most of the chance to say hello:

"I looked around and on the floor there's a pair of boots, and on the couch there's this hi-visibility vest. My mindset was, '(Let's) see how far you can take this'. It wasn't planned at all. Everything just fell into place so perfectly. I had that realisation that I was in. I just thought, 'Play this cool, play this cool...' It was such tight security, they weren't letting anyone in and they let me in because I was pushing a bin."

He went onto add that upon coming face-to-face with the 'Wrecking Ball' singer, he froze: "My whole brain just emptied. I saw her and froze. All I could get out was, 'Hey'. She looked at me, smiled and just kept walking. If I did actually meet her I wouldn't have anything left to do. I'd have to come up with a whole new goal."
