Demi Lovato: 'Food issues can be highlighted around the holidays'

Superstar Demi Lovato has revealed how she keeps fit on the road and credited her toned figure to Soul Cycle training and a fitness instructor.

During a new interview with E! News, the beauty explained that she does a fast-paced cardio workout before performing live and then her stage shows are also high-octane, so she gets lots of exercise:

"I brought Soul Cycle bikes on the road, so on my show days, I do 45 minutes of cycling as hard as I can and then I perform for an hour and a half. So, it was like X-amount of cardio every day... But also I have an amazing trainer and I'm on a meal plan that helps me stay focused."

The beauty went onto add that controlling what she eats is always a challenge, but it's especially difficult during holiday seasons that are typically centred around food and treating yourself: "Sometimes, especially around the holidays, food issues can get frustrating."

Lovato confessed that hiring a trainer and nutritionist changed her life and it's amazing to have constant support and motivation: "With me, I just kind of gave up, completely surrendering, and was like, 'OK, you just help me out with my food. You help me out with my training.'"
